The forthcoming hockey season will be under the new Covid-19 rules, where the NHL will urge stricter restrictions and penalties on players who are not vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, unvaccinated players who cannot join in club activities, like unable to travel because of regulations imposed by the government or contracting the virus, are deemed for suspension by their respective teams, as reported by ESPN.<\/p>\n

Moreover, unvaccinated players will be penalized for their one day pay whenever they can\u2019t join the team\u2019s activity. However, players with medical conditions or cite religious practices are exempted from the new policy.<\/p>\n

There are other restrictions in place for unvaccinated players, including being unable to use amenities like pools, restaurants, and gyms while in a team hotel. Also, joining a carpool or having visitors in their hotel rooms are not allowed.<\/p>\n

As a requirement, unvaccinated players need to go through daily Covid-19 testing for the entire season, as elaborated by ESPN. And vaccinated players are required to be tested on the third day. Another requirement is that unvaccinated players also need to be quarantined for seven days before their training.<\/p>\n
